Understand Why We Do The Drill, :

  • Reinforces a good finish position
  • Teaches you to keep the palms facing toward your feet

How To Do It:

Body Position:

  • Laying face down in the water
  • Arms should be by your side, near to your hips
  • Legs should be extended out behind you
  • Head and neck into a neutral position
  • Make your body as long as you can

The Movement:

  • Keeping your elbows still, use your hands to push water back toward your feet
  • Repeat

Things To Focus On:

  • Think about using your hands to move you forward
  • Focus on connecting your palms with the water to move you forward
  • Focus on isolating the hands as much as possible
